The collaboration between both organisations will encourage access to ICT and improve the digital skills of sex workers.
The Ramon Molinas Foundation is collaborating with the Àmbit Prevenció Foundation to provide access to information and communication technologies and improve the digital skills of sex workers.
The collaboration between the two organisations will address the five aspects of the digital divide experienced by the participants in the Àmbit Prevenció Foundation project. Firstly, the initiative will provide access to the technology itself. Secondly, it will train users in digital skills. Thirdly, it will encourage personal autonomy with regards to using information and communication technology and help users to exercise their rights and improve access to key resources using digital tools; in parallel, they will be provided with the support to maintain these skills and knowledge. Lastly, the initiative will help users to get the best of digital tools depending on their own personal goals.
The Àmbit Prevenció Foundation was launched in 1993 with the aim of improving quality of life for people at risk of social exclusion. With its base in Sants-Montjuic, the organisation supports and empowers people to become active in their own transformation. Recently, the foundation has specialised in the support of women that have suffered from violence in any form. The Àmbit Prevenció Foundation continues to focus on providing users with resources to help with recovery and empowerment.
