RMF has subsidized the rehabilitation of the headquarters which will promote the social integration of children with some intellectual disability.
The Therapeutic Care Service of the Aspanias association is already a fact. The center, located in the neighbourhood of Raval, has been inaugurated today by the councilwoman of the district of Ciutat Vella, Mercè Homs, and by the president of Aspanias, Carmen Ruiz. Ramon Molinas Foundation contributed their bit subsidizing a third of the 90,000 euros that the work cost.
The Therapeutic Care Service, which consists of five professionals coordinated by a technical director, will promote the social integration of children over 6 years old and adolescents who suffer from some development disorder or intellectual disability. At the headquarters of the Aspanias association, psychological service will be offered, as well as speech service, social attention service, and physiotherapy and music therapy sessions.
With the new headquarters, Aspanias also wants to extend the therapeutic attention to low-income families through a system of scholarships and aids. For this reason, of the 32 children that the association expects to assist every week, nine will have a scholarship next year from Ramon Molinas Foundation.
