The acquisition and rehabilitation of premises to work with dignity
The Ramon Molinas Foundation participates in the purchase and adequacy of premises for the Fundación Alosa, an entity committed to assist and patronize adults who suffer from intellectual disabilities or mental diseases. The obtaining of the property wills to palliate one of the most urgent needs of the Fundación Alosa. The entity requires a large space with dignity so that its professionals can develop the tasks linked to their work and carry out the direct attention to the protected and their families.
The Fundación Alosa has grown from protecting 3 users in 1996 to 74 in 2011. The aim of the entity is to guarantee the protection and execution of the rights of the protected, provide the necessary tools for their social integration and satisfy their needs in order to influence on the improvement of their life quality.
The Fundación Alosa, 50 years of experience in the field of intellectual disabilities
The Fundación Alosa was created in 1995 by the Asociación Aspros, an organization that was born in 1962 in Lleida with the finality of promoting a better social awareness ensuring the non-discrimination and carrying out the prevention, defence, treatment, rehabilitation and integration of the mentally handicapped. The Fundación Alosa was created after the entity verified that some of its users had no legal protection derived from the declaration of incapacity.
The Asociación Aspros, which in 2005 became a foundation, assists 502 people and has 3 areas of activity. First, it has a work area which gives work to 166 people through a restoration company, another dedicated to offer services to the industry, an aluminium factory, and another in charge of maintaining parks and gardens and a company of technological solutions. Besides, it has an area dedicated to the training of handicapped people, and finally, it has an area of residential care.
