The agreement will benefit 60 families in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability.
Ramon Molinas Foundation and Fundación Palaclínic closed an agreement in order to undertake a program that will enable those patients that are at end stage of life and in a situation of socioeconomic vulnerability to face the process with dignity and at home.
The action, which is planned to start at the beginning of next month, will help 60 families through three types of contributions. First, a service of loan materials will be offered. Special mattresses for patients who have to stay in bed for a long time, cranes, adjustable beds or wheelchairs will be some of the devices that will facilitate the care of the patients. Also, the service of a family worker will be provided in order to develop personalized attention tasks. Finally, to them as well as to their families, a service of psychological support will be offered along with other complementary treatments, such as art therapy or music therapy.
The agreement signed between Ramon Molinas Foundation and Fundación Paliaclínic will enable to enlarge the coverage of the entity to a new sector of the city of Barcelona. It is the Sistema d’Atenció Primària Dreta de Barcelona, which will include the Passeig Sant Joan, Encants, Camp de l’Arpa, Vila de Gràcia, Baix Guinardó, Sagrera and Congrés.
