The RMF will continue to encourage the social integration of children and young people in Nou Barris through futsal (indoor football).

The Ramon Molinas Foundation will collaborate for the third consecutive year with the Babar Sports Association. The organisation launched by the Pare Manel Foundation encourages the social integration of children and young people in the Barcelona area of Nou Barris through futsal (indoor football). Year after year, the association doubles its efforts and has grown exponentially. For the year 2015-16 the association will accept 30 more members than in the previous campaign thanks to the close bond the project has developed with the community.

A total of 210 players between 6 and 18 years old will make up the 18 teams which the organisation runs, overseen by 40 professional coaches, representatives, coordinates and collaborators. The Babar Sports Association is fighting against social exclusion of children and young people from the areas of Guineueta, Canyelles, Roquetes, Verdum and Trinitat Nova through the transformation of the personal and social environment in which members grow and develop.

Through sport, members work on values such as responsibility, respect, friendship and creativity. Futsal allows for personal growth thanks to the physical, psychological and social benefits of the sport. The association is also working towards strengthening family participation in the social life of the club with the aim of creating a network of good relationships between families, players and staff. The club’s activities take place in the La Guineueta Sport Complex, at the CEIP Aiguamarina court, the Escola Antaviana court and at the Escola Turó de Roquetes court.
