Thanks to the benefits of the ICT, RMF will mediate between Aves Association and its users in order to improve the communication routes.

Ramon Molinas Foundation has signed an agreement that will enable to improve the virtual and personal assistance to support cancer patients. In the first place, the cooperation agreement will bring about the display of a new alternative care. Through the advantages of the ICT, a virtual tool will be created and it will break down the barriers of time and space of the relationship between the entity and its users. Besides, the commitment between RMF and Aves will improve the telephonic attention for those sick ones who cannot move to face meetings of the care network that the entity offers.

The establishment of the technological platform will become materialized through a forum that will enable the creation of a community where the users will be able to relate with the association and among themselves. The forum will bring about the establishment of mutual support groups for the users who suffer from the disease, as well as for their relatives, or for people who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Also, thanks to this new tool, it will be possible to debate and share impressions or knowledge about the disease. Aves foresees that some of the main topics of discussion on this line will be nutritherapy, exercise-therapy, and cancer as an opportunity to improve personal knowledge.

The Voluntary Association of Curable Patients (Aves) was founded in 1993. Its main goal is to support people who suffer from severe illnesses, like cancer, and their families. The work methodology of the entity is based on the legacy of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, who was a psychiatrist and world expert in thanatology and palliative care.
