It will collaborate with Fundación Apip-Acam in order to promote the social and labor integration through the TICs.

Ramon Molinas Foundation will participate in a program of Fundación Apip-Acam designed to promote the social and labor integration of the collectives at risk of social exclusion and that at the same time form the framework of people affected by the digital gap. The initiative will include all the users from the entity and will enable the spaces to adapt and enlarge for the access to computing in each of its centers. Besides, it will include the implementation of an extranet network.

Fundación Apip-Acam has been years experimenting with the benefits that computer networks provide. The users assisted at the different programs of the entity that have used computers with access to the Internet have been favoured. Given this circumstance, the action programmed by Fundación Apip-Acam is to extend and adapt the stays for the access to computing in each of the centers of the entity according to the needs of the collective assisted. This way, the users’ skills will be empowered and the necessary tools will be provided for the achievement of the purpose of acting.

The access to this service will be of great utility although the benefit will be different at each of the centers. At the training and employment centers of Fundación Apip-Acam, for example, this tool will be indispensable to form and promote the digital literacy. Nowadays the command of Office (ofimática) is essential in order to access to any workplace. On the other hand, for people with a severe disability the experience with computing will be beneficial at a communicative level, or for visual, auditory or perceptual stimulation.

On the other hand, the creation of an extranet network will mean substantial improvements in the communications between the families of the users and the professionals of the residential centers for the disabled of the entity. With this new tool, the relatives of the users will have a private and personalized access that will enable them to be informed of anything that might happen during the day by day of the institution.
