Both entities help 93 women at risk of social exclusion and achieve that 7 of them end the experience with an employment contract.

93 women at risk of social exclusion were benefited by the program Open Doors to the Future organized by Fundació Surt with the collaboration of Ramon Molinas Foundation. The initiative had the aim of promoting the social integration of those women submerged in economic difficulties due to the current socioeconomic context.

Between January and July 2013 the program contributed with support tools and the specific resources to face the economic, social and emotional emergency situations of the beneficiaries. On the other hand, it has worked so as to recover and develop their capacities and personal resources, empowering their autonomy and self-esteem.

Through a series of innovative actions of empowerment, which included a personalized diagnosis, group sessions, the development of a plan of vital action or a module of career guidance, 90% of the beneficiaries ended the experience with more positivity and their self-esteem and relationships improved.

Open Doors to the Future has far exceeded the expectations set. 93 women and their families received socioeconomic support and 7 of the beneficiaries achieved to enter the labor market. Instructor dining, waitress, saleswoman, cleaner, and hostess, are the professional profiles that the women who finished their progress with employment achieved. However, thanks to the training received from the program, the rest of the participants are better equipped to face the vicissitudes of the labor market.

The project was born after Fundació Surt detected an increase of the demand of their services by those women who were in critical socioeconomic situations due to the crisis. Many of them arrived to the headquarters of Fundació Surt without any resources and were blocked by the situation with effects that went beyond their economic situation.
