The centre, run by Caritas Diocesan of Barcelona, was set up for expecting women and mothers with children under three who are at risk of social exclusion.

For the third year running, the Ramon Molinas Foundation is collaborating with Caritas Dioscesan of Barcelona. After supporting the Gavines long stay shelter and cooperating with the Mare de Déu de Montserrat mother and child support centre, it is cooperating with the Rull mother and child support centre, aimed at expecting women and mothers with children under three who are at risk of social exclusion and require education about maternity.

The centre, located in the Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona, fosters the mother-child pair. It strengthens their emotional relationship and boosts the cognitive stimulation of the children. Likewise, the Rull mother and child support centre is an ideal place for the women to improve their self-esteem, learn new skills and develop relationships with other women who find themselves in the same situation.

The Rull mother and child support centre has places for eight mothers and their children and has a psychologist, a family support worker and a social worker who provide individual and emotional support to the women. The women attend the centre every morning, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 1pm, during the whole academic year; they live in the Ciutat Vella district and are selected according to their characteristics from the applications that Caritas Diocesan of Barcelona receives from the social workers.
