The space will improve the care that the organisation provides to people with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disorders.
The Aspanias association has opened a Therapeutic Care Centre in Barcelona, which will help the organisation to improve the care they provide to people with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disorders. The space is on loan from the Ramon Molinas Foundation and is located in Dreta de l’Eixample.
The inauguration of the Therapeutic Care Centre has been assisted by Anne Topping, president of the Ramon Molinas Foundation, has expressed her delight at the move: “It makes me very happy to see the excitement on their faces. I am convinced that the professionals at Aspanias and the association’s users will make great use of this space.” Carmen Ruiz, president of Aspanias, has thanked the Foundation for their collaboration. “I would like to thank the Ramon Molinas Foundation. The equipment that have inaugurated today will help us to improve the service, and the relationship between the users, their families and the organisation”, she declared.

The new space, which is 211 meters squared, will house the Aspanias Therapeutic Care Centre (SAT) and its administration, communication, leisure and volunteer areas. Aspanias will therefore be able to assign the headquarters on Calle Enamorats, Ciudad Condal to the Early Intervention and Child Development Centre (CDIAP). The Ramon Molinas Foundation provided the space on loan to Aspanias in June 2016, when the association began to adapt it to its new role as the new Therapeutic Care Centre.
Aspanias seeks to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities and other developmental disorders by providing comprehensive and personalised care and promoting social inclusion. In the new centre, the organisation will provide speech therapy, pedagogical care and social care, and will hold physiotherapy, psychomotricity and music therapy sessions.
