EIMT students at the UOC who have handed in their final projects during the academic year 2014/2015 can apply until the 7th September.
The Ramon Molinas Foundation and the Open University of Catalonia have opened the application period of the second awarding of the UOC-RMF Prizes. The application process is open to all students who have completed, presented and passed their final projects, engineering technicians, engineering graduates or master’s students studying Information Technology, Multimedia and Telecommunication at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) over the year 2014/2015.
The second awarding of the UOC-RMF Prizes is made up of three categories: Security and Telecommunication, Information Technology and Multimedia. Each applicant will be automatically assigned a category according to what subject they study and the project they present. Students who want to apply can do so by filling in an application form before the 7th September. Once the application period has ended, a panel made up of academics and sector professionals will evaluate the projects presented and will choose two finalists per category. The finalists will be announced at the end of October. The panel will consider the innovation of the work, its technical complexity, its applicability and utility, and the clarity and quality of the presentation.
The selected finalists will have to present their work at an event on the 5th November in the Palau Macaya in Barcelona. Once the cycle of presentations has finished, the panel will select the three successful projects and will start the prize-giving ceremony. The prize winner of each of the three categories will be awarded a cheque for 3,000 euros.
