6 of the 19 projects that have participated in the entrepreneurship workshops will get personal support from a mentor.

The Ramon Molinas Foundation and the Open University of Catalonia have launched the second phase of the competition for finalists competing to win a UOC-RMF Prize and make their projects a reality. At the end of the competition’s first round, which started on the 20^th January and finished on the 3^rd February, both organisations chose the 6 finalists to receive personalised support from a mentor who would help them to get their projects off the ground.

The students were judged according to their ability and promise, and their projects’ potential for social impact and success. Iñaki Bigatà, Maria Teresa Garcia, Javier García, Eduard Marcel González, Sandra Fernández and Xavier Massotti will be going forward with training at Hubbik, a collaborative community created by UOC to foster innovative projects and support the transfer of knowledge. Over the next round of the competition, a mentor will help provide five hours of one-on-one training sessions to each project to resolve specific problems and advise the students on legal, finance, organisation, human resources, marketing, sales and communication issues, with the aim of putting together a business model.

At the end of March, once the second round has finished, the judges will choose the best projects to take part in an intensive 20-hour consulting programme. This last round will help the students to expand on their business model and help to guide them towards setting up the business.  Finally, one of them will have the opportunity to participate in the 4Y4N at the Mobile World Congress 2018, and the other will attend SpinUOC 2018.
