42 courses in 12 municipalities will be implemented, with the objective of reducing the digital divide of groups at risk of social exclusion.
The Ramon Molinas Foundation, with the collaboration of the Apip-Acam Foundation and the Barcelona town council, will provide training in information and communication technology to half a thousand people in unemployment and lacking computer skills. The scheme will be implemented as part of 42 courses with the aim of reducing the digital divide of groups at risk of social exclusion.
The digital world for integration and computer skills training will provide internationally accredited computer skills which will be hugely useful for participants’ social and labour integration. Participants will be selected by the social services of the 12 municipalities of Barcelona province who will take part in the scheme.
The digital divide puts many groups at risk of social exclusion. The objective of the Ramon Molinas Foundation in this area of social action is to overcome this obstacle, above all in those groups that are already affected by a physical, economic or social limitation, i.e. those who suffer from a double social exclusion.
